Summer Camp Dates:Camps are Monday through Thursday from 8am to 4pm. Transportation available. Each 4 day camp is $200.00. Enrollment is limited to 12 riders.

Camp Details for Parents and Riders
We offer One Day Camps, Two Day Camps and Four Day Camps. Camp runs from 8am to 4pm. Transportation is available as a free service. Camps are limited to 16 riders. If parent attends Camp with child and rides, both pay fee. Rick Jepson is our main instructor with over 48 years of experience working with horses and children. We have another experienced adult working with him during Summer Camps. We have older, experienced teen helpers for other camps.
Our Camps teach youth to ride in a supportive environment. We believe strongly in experiential, hands-on learning. Children learn to take care of horses through feeding and grooming. They learn to saddle and bridle. Working in the round pens and arena gives them technical horsemanship and riding skills. These skills are further practiced during daily trail rides through the beautiful Sonoran Desert!
We provide horseback riding opportunities for children 7-18 years old. We are a true horseback riding camp. We don't do arts and crafts or anything else. We are not childcare. We are outside all day. We do have lots of shade. Please make sure that your child likes horses and the outdoors before enrolling.
The wide range of horse back riding activities and experiences offered at Just Horsin' Around empower your child to get out of their comfort zone and learn something new! Our experienced instructors give all participants a chance to learn more about riding horses! Our horses are kid friendly and ready to take your child on an adventure. Transportation
Transportation Schedule
Pick up and Drop off at:Frys Gas Station at Rita and Houghton, Walgreens at Golf Links and Kolb, Walgreen's at Colossal Cave and Mary Ann Cleveland, Pilot at I-10 and Rita Road and Roadrunner Market in Corona de Tucson. General Pick up times from 7am to 7:45am and drop off between 4pm and 5pm. Exact Pick up and drop off times depend on camp dates and attendance. Transportation is provided at no charge by staff and parents. You are welcome to provide your own transportation. You do not need to use our transportation to attend camp.
News & Announcements
Safety
We take safety around horses very seriously.
All youth riders must wear a helmet, pants and closed toed/heeled shoes. You may bring your own riding helmet or we will provide one of ours.
Children are taught to approach and work with horses safely. Our instructors constantly monitor their interactions with horses to make sure that boundaries are respected. Children are not allowed to work with horses in an unsafe manner.
While our staff encourages children to stay hydrated and wear sunscreen, participants must be able to do this on their own. Our staff is not able to put sunscreen on children. Our staff will refill water bottles as needed.
